POSITION TITLE:Class "A" Industrial Maintenance Technician
DEPARTMENT:Maintenance

REPORTS TO:Maintenance Supervisor
TRAINING NEEDS
1.Has completed worksteps program specific to department.
2.Has completed pre-employment physical specific to department.
3.Has completed company orientation.
4.Has completed safety training.
5.Has received the quality training program.
JOB KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
6.Must have personal hand tools as required.
7.Must have working knowledge of cutting and welding.
8.Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
9.Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a continuous basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
10.Perform repairs, maintenance and preventive maintenance of plant equipment to include electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic.
11.Report to Maintenance Supervisor conditions observed for evaluation and scheduling.
12.Troubleshoot equipment breakdown, determine the failure and make proper repair.
13.Advise Class "B" employee on proper troubleshooting procedure and repairs for future similar breakdown issues.
14.Perform cuts and welds when necessary.
15.Wear prescribed safety equipment and observe safety policies.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Foundry Environment.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Exposure to high noise levels.
- Exposure to dirt and fumes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
