Overview:Perform activities related to the design, build, implementation, and support of the software of the Pharmacy Information System (PIS).
Recommend plans of action, develop and maintain policies and procedures and protocol changes, and work with associates to optimize the utilization of the systems.
Provide support for current PIS sites, where applicable. Communicate effectively with department, hospital and corporate associates.
Deliver timely and high quality problem resolution and escalation services and provide solutions for user questions and requests for information.
Develops, implements, and adheres to policies, procedures, and standards to meet all regulatory agencies such as HIPAA< as well as currently accepted legal standards.
Represents the department at appropriate meetings across Advocate.
Works with Information Systems and other Departments to insure the interface of Pharmacy Systems with other Hospital Systems.
Responsible for staying abreast of operational pharmaceutical developments.
Provide analytical, technical, and problem resolution services.

Qualifications:
Minimum Experience: Board base knowledge and competency in both hardware and software applications and systems in an integrated delivery systems environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (E.g., Work, Excel) and relational databases. Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals.
