Description of Duties:

The Cloud Engineer for Business Development supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

• Assist engineering efforts that provide engineering and technical direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements.
• Participate in efforts that develop recommendations and advice on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.

The selected candidate will support the Business Relationship Mangers and Cloud Services Delivery Teams and will:

• Assist Business Relationship Managers with cost ROM, Requirements gathering and solution designs.
• Assist with Proposals, Requirements Tractability Matrixes, vendor quotes, resource level of effort and task definitions
• Reference Architecture updates
• Assist with Engineering Architecture Board and or Engineering Review Board slide creation.

This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO, Dahlgren, VA, or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

This position is expected to pay $161,000 - $171,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 14 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 8 years of general experience

• Must have 8 years of directly related experience in IT Platforms and or Cloud engineering
• Must have 3 years of experience in management or leadership roles
• Must have a firm understanding of the offerings within VMware, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Microsoft Azure platforms.
• Must have at least 1 commercially recognized Cloud Architecture certification.
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT level II certification
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Be familiar with Risk Management Framework (DoD RMF) or NIST 800-53A
• Have experience with Virtual infrastructure (VMware, RedHat Virtualization, Docker, OpenShift)
• Have experience with Commercial/Government Cloud environment fundamentals.
• Have experience with Windows and/or Linux System (System Administrator, IAM, Architect)
• Have experience with GitLab.
• Have experience with DevSecOps processes.
• Be familiar with Enterprise Database infrastructure.
• Have experience with Windows and Linux environment troubleshooting.
• Have experience with Virtual machine environment troubleshooting.
• Be familiar with evaluating and implementing STIGs.
• Have experience or familiarity with MDA and Ballistic Missile Defense
• Have experience using Remedy software.
• Have any of the following certifications: RedHat, Microsoft/Azure, AWS, VMware
