Cloud Program Director (remote)
Job Summary:
Next Generation, Inc., an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking a Cloud Program Director for a remote role with occasional travel to Olympia, Washington to help modernize applications to the cloud environment, that can assist with working with cloud providers, standing up and managing aspects of an ECCP. The Cloud Program Project Director will be responsible for coordinating project activities across both workstreams and creating an integrated program project management office complete with project management best practices (risk, schedule, governance, steering committee, reporting, vendor performance and monitoring). The Cloud Program Project Director will coordinate with the ECCP staff, project managers, and WaTech leadership and will be accountable to the ECCP Program Director.
Job Responsibilities:
- The Cloud Program Project Director will develop a ECCP charter that documents the mission, vision, goals, objectives, purpose, decision making process, governance membership and associated roles and responsibilities, budget, operating procedures, program
workstreams, high level program and workstream milestones, change management process, risk, program structure and resources, contract requirements, and other important areas as identified by the Cloud Program Project Director and program leadership.
- The Cloud Program Project Director is responsible for establishing the ECCP Program Office and implementing project management best practices for the program that are applied consistently across all ECCP projects and initiatives
- The Cloud Program Director is responsible for working with the ECCP workstream project managers and staff to ensure that project
plans are consistent with the ECCP program office templates, and Individual project schedules are complete and updated and rolled up to a program integrated work plan that can be communicated to the program leadership committee and governance committee on a weekly basis.
- The Cloud Program Project Director will work with ECCP and WaTech staff to establish a Microsoft SharePoint site within the WaTech Microsoft Office 365 environment that is easy to navigate and organized for easy access of all documents with version control.
- The Project Director in coordination with the ECCP Program Director is responsible for scheduling and coordinating the monthly
ECCP governance and weekly sprint program meetings, agendas, development and distribution of meeting materials ahead of meetings, meeting minutes, and distributing documents to the meeting attendees within three days after each meeting
- The Project Director is required to collaborate on a consistent and elevated level across ECCP program leadership and project staff, WaTech (leadership and staff), agency leadership and staff, ECCP and IT Enterprise Governance groups, contracted vendors that are working on workstream projects, authorizing environment staff to facilitate the successful execution of program projects tasks,
milestones, and outcomes.
- The Cloud Program Project Director will deliver bi-weekly status reports submitted to the ECCP Director highlighting progress of the contract deliverables and program planned and completed activities.
- The Cloud Program Project Director will present the status of the program and prepare PowerPoint presentations for WaTech leadership (as required), ECCP Governance (monthly), and IT Enterprise Governance groups (as required but at a minimum quarterly).
- The Cloud Program Project Director will prepare material on the status of the ECCP for the CIO and the ECCP Director to
present to the Technology Services Board (TSB) or legislative staff.
Job Requirements:
- Experience directing a complex program with a portfolio of projects and workstreams.
- Experience with the Cloud
- Experience establishing a program or project management office.
- Implementation of Project Management best practices and templates.
- Leading, facilitating, and developing content for program or project governance meetings.
- Experience in developing and managing a Microsoft Project integrated schedule.
- Ability to communicate and present program content to all levels of the organization.
- Experience with complex modernization projects moving from legacy systems to cloud
environments.
- Experience in leading a diverse team with multiple workstreams toward successful outcomes.
