Your Role
Exact Payments is looking for a Cloud Security Analyst who can function as a subject matter expert for our PayFac platform. The candidate must also be well versed in on-prem physical infrastructure and secure coding practices. We are looking for a leader who can bring in their deep technical expertise, collaboration skills, and mentoring abilities to apply in a fast-paced, cutting-edge technology company in the online payments space.
What you will be doing
The successful candidate will be a team player who is self-driven, shares information, learns fast, is well organized, highly reliable, and pays close attention to detail. He will also be able to function in a highly cross-functional environment. The candidate will report to the Director of Security. The candidate will integrate into other teams such as DevOps, Operations, and Development as a subject matter expert to enforce a strong security posture company-wide. You must be able to understand business/product requirements at a higher level and identify any security gaps with the help of other technology peers, project managers, and Technical Program Managers. Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively engage with the technical staff to understand development, deployment, and operational requirements.
- Work inside and across agile teams to design, build, and test secure software solutions that meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with team members, scrum masters, architects, and product owners to move the development program forward with a focus on security on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide high-level systems architectural expertise to managers and technical staff
- Provide training, presentations, and coaching on project management and/or process improvement
- Work within the security team to improve the overall Cybersecurity plans
- Produce thorough documentation of implementations, via technical documentation and run-books
- Lead in efforts that shape the organization’s security policies and standards for use in cloud environments
- Interpret security and technical requirements into business requirements and communicate security risks to relevant stakeholders ranging from business leaders to engineers
- Responsible for automating security controls, data, and processes to provide improved metrics and operational support
- Establish and enforce the culture of shared knowledge in the form of documents, presentations, and hands-on working sessions.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. A Master’s in a related technical discipline is preferable
- 3+ years of mixed experience as a Software Development Engineer, System Administrator, Network Administrator, and Cloud Architect in advanced, large scale, technology systems
- AWS Certification - AWS Certified Security, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWS
- Strong Familiarity with Palo Alto Firewalls
- Strong Familiarity with Security Groups
- Familiarity with shift-left security practices
- Robust micro services programming (AWS Lambda, Docker, etc.)
- Extensive experience architecting, designing, and programming applications and ample experience in high-level programming languages such as TS, JS, Python, Terraform
- Capability architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability, and high availability
- Communication skills: In executing their duties, cloud security engineers must communicate with various audiences, including business leaders, engineers, clients, and team members. It is important that they have great verbal communication skills to convey information to the relevant audience. They also require exceptional written communication skills, documentation, and reporting
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, SOC2 Type 2, ISO 27001, HIPPA, GDPR, and CCPA is a plus
- Experience in online/eCommerce platforms, payments integration, and payment gateways is a plus
