Key Objective:

  • Successfully produce raw machined plugs from prepared raw materials
  • maintain schedule and quality

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

 program CNC toolpaths and generate G-code

 setup and locate platforms in machining cell using all required jacks, blocks, hand tools etc.

 setup machine and tooling

 run and monitor part cutting operations

 coordinate timing for rough cuts, Putty and finish cuts on large parts

 machine cell housekeeping ( vacuum ,sweep etc )

 tooling selection and inventory

 conduct tramming procedures for both machines as needed

 conduct machinery daily checks and maintenance functions

 Store all materials safely at the end of the day

 Ensure all CNC operations are performed safely

 Follow TDC approved processes (SOP)

Proficiencies:

  • Must be proficient in full 3 and 5 axis machine programing and operation with CAM software, powermill, mastercam , Nx or similar
  • must have fundamental skills with Rhino, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software packages.
  • Must have at least 2 years experience in setup and running 5 axis CNC machinery
  • familiar with various machining materials to determine feeds and speeds
  • must have ability to setup and operate CNC machine controllers - Siemens, Fanuc preferred
  • Proficient in materials cutting calculations, (Speed (rpm)), Feed rate, and Chip Load requirements

Summary

The team leader is responsible for delegating daily work to a small group of associates (approximately 5-

7) to ensure that it is completed in accordance with established standards and to the departmental

schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Safety: provides for continuous improvement and zero recordable safety environment.

 Quality: responsible for Adherence of procedures and processes.

 Delivery: responsible for maintaining schedule to meet key milestones.

 Cost: Maintains departmental budget in labor and materials.

 Leads by example.

 Ensures all associates comply with Pursuits policies, codes, and procedures.

 Supports a predictable work environment where associates are held accountable and treated with

respect, constantly challenged and praised for continuous improvement of process, work environment,

and themselves.

 Supports plans to achieve key metrics for their department, i.e. safety, turnover, and supply spending.

 Understands environmental compliance as it relates to material used in their area: chemical handling,

usage, labeling, storage, and disposal.

 Supports continuous improvement utilizing Safety system, Kaizen, CAR system, and other problemsolving

techniques.

 Responsible for the proper maintenance of all equipment used in their area. Drives workplace

organization using the 5S methodology.

 Identifies problems (i.e. material shortages, employee relations issues, etc.) within their scope and

communicates to the group leader when additional assistance is needed.

 Responsible for training new associates.

 Monitors team members work to ensure quality standards are met.

 Responsible for ordering parts, materials, and supplies required for departmental operation.

 May resume responsibility of group leader when manager is out of the department.

 Interacts with other departments to resolve issues

Housekeeping:

 Performs housekeeping and other job-related duties assigned by supervisor.

 Frequently handles and ensures that cleanliness and orderliness standards are met throughout the

plant. This means doing the work him/herself whenever necessary.

 Promote department cleanliness. Keep all shop areas clean, parts put away in an orderly fashion

 Promote tool organization and workstation organization

Qualifications

General knowledge and understanding of required power tools

Must be able to understand and execute top quality

Must be able to pass the strength/stress test and drug/alcohol screening contingent to the hiring process

Job requires standing and working in and around boats/molds throughout the entire day

Must work efficiently and in the safest manner possible, following all safety regulations at all time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.20 - $26.75 per hour
