Job description
- Provide specialist financial and commercial advice to operational management, driving financial performance through commercially sound decision making and analysis.
- Involvement in discussions and negotiations with the General Manager and Pricing Manager, influencing decision makers to achieve the best possible outcome for P&S.
- Partner with the Pricing Team to review, assess and simplify current Special Pricing Adjustment (SPA) process for P&S. Leverage defined industry best practices and recommendations to make the SPA process more efficient. Develop and implement standardized process and ensure robust controls are in place to ensure adherence with contractual terms. Increase transparency of ongoing distributor and customer claims.
- Be a true Business Partner to the commercial teams, providing accurate and timely financial analysis of key commercial initiatives providing joint business planning support.
- Work with the operational team to ensure that there is a robust commercial process in place to achieve budgets and forecasts.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support key business decisions
- Develop and maintain regularly reporting packages, including monthly/quarterly forecast plans, and customer/order information.
- Cooperate with commercial teams to customize deal structures to meet customers' specific requirements, develop new business models to capture new business opportunities.
- Agreement of annual budgets and maintaining a robust forecasting process across contracts, identifying issues and opportunities, and ensuring that the operations managers have plans in place to address them.
- Work with Management to scope, instigate and facilitate the delivery of budget and other targets/ initiatives that will drive financial performance.
- BA in Finance and/or other relevant business field.
- 8 - 10 years of experience in finance and/or commercial field.
- Proven commercial acumen and negotiation skills gained through experience in dealing with complex contracts.
- Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge, influence, and support at all levels.
- Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement and driving financial performance.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Proven ability to scope and deliver projects.
- Team player.
