Cuentas, Inc. (NASDAQ:CUEN) is a fast-growing Financial Tech Company with a range of several consumer products. This position is responsible for ensuring our Public company (Cuentas Inc/CUEN) follows government regulations to avoid legal fines, ramifications, and image damage. They will ensure that systems, partners, employees follow the internal and sponsors compliance policies. The Compliance officer actively monitors or derives compliance management ensuring Cuentas will not be at high risk of bridging applicable laws, and regulations, thus exposing themselves to potential reputational damages and fines.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program.
Reviews and monitors all contracts, documents, marketing materials and agreements to ensure compliance with established regulations and appropriate business standards
Must have experience with contracts (stock markets, Real estate development, Telecommunications and international contracts
Partner and collaborate with the Legal Compliance Coordinator for assignment and completion of Compliance, Legal and Finance related tasks.
Familiarity with US Securities and Exchange Commission filings (ADV, 10K 10Q and a PR Releases and Disclosures.
Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
Draft and revise company policies (AML, Privacy, Electronic, Operation Flow, Funding, Etc)
Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
Evaluate business activities (e.g. investments) to assess compliance risk
Collaborate with external auditors and Executives when needed
Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals
Requirements and skills
5-7 years of compliance related elated experience
Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager
Experience in risk management
Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, or AML)
Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
Excellent communication skills
Integrity and professional ethics
BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or a related field
Professional certification (e.g. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per hour
