Job description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate gymnastics coach to join our team. This position will be focused on coaching athletes at the level 1 – 5 range, with an emphasis on developing competitive skills, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring athlete safety.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct gymnasts at levels 1-5 in proper technique for various gymnastics skills and events
• Develop training plans and routines for athletes based on their skill level and abilities
• Monitor athletes’ progress and provide feedback on their performance
• Work with athletes to identify areas of weakness and develop strategies for improvement
• Teach athletes to safely and effectively use gymnastics equipment
• Collaborate with other coaches to create a positive and supportive team environment
• Attend and participate in gymnastics meets and competitions
• Ensure the safety of all athletes during practice and competition
• Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and clean environment

Requirements:

• Must have experience coaching gymnastics at levels 1-5
• Strong knowledge of proper technique for gymnastics skills and events
• Ability to create effective training plans and routines for athletes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches
• Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to ensure a safe environment for athletes
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred

• USAG membership instructor with Background Check (every 2 years) : usagym.org
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekend availability
