Role Overview The Configuration Installer is responsible for preparing a high volume of computers, printers and other products for technicians on a daily basis. This role is also responsible for the boxing and un-boxing of units along with installing basic hardware components as needed. Key Areas of Responsibility Un-boxing and prepping of units for technicians Install basic hardware components into customers systems to their required specifications Re-boxing and preparing boxes for shipment Utilize a forklift or pallet-jack to move product through-out the warehouse/department Maintain minimum monthly productivity Ensure that customers receive the highest level of customer service through exceptional quality standards and order responsiveness Communicate issues concerning customer orders to the area Help Desk or Supervisor Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times Keep the work area organized through daily cleaning and removal of garbage and pallet jacks, etc. Responsibilities Perform additional duties as assigned by management The general work hours will range 9:00 am to 11:00 pm based on location and shift It may be necessary on occasion for this individual to work beyond their regularly scheduled shift Overtime is to be expected and in some cases may be required Demonstrate ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of force rarely (0-12%% of the workday). The team lift system must be utilized for loads weighing more than 50 pounds. Demonstrate ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday), and 51-75 pounds rarely (0-12% of the workday). Demonstrate ability to perform eight or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping and carrying products in combination at any given time. Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as weather fluctuates, noise from conveyors and forklifts. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Other Required Qualifications Analytical skills and the ability to solve problems Ability to quickly learn about new technology and keep pace with an ever-changing industry Ability to assemble and disassemble computer equipment and be mechanically inclined Ability to work in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as the weather fluctuates, noise from conveyors and forklifts.
