Weatherization & Insulation Technician

Seeking dependable experienced insulation and weatherization technicians:

Operate company service vehicles

Install weather-stripping, seal duct work, and prepare attics for insulation

Air-seal attic top plates and penetrations

Install blown in attic insulation

The ideal candidate will have a desire to grow with the company and improve energy efficiency for residential utility customers:

Solid understanding of construction and building science

Experience installing insulation and weather stripping.

Completes job sheet and related paperwork

Installation of home energy conservation measures

Prepare and maintain a safe and clean workspace

Properly use hand and power tools, maintenance, and construction equipment

Monitory product inventory and stock service truck for daily duties.

Minimum Qualifications

6 months to 1 year of weatherization experience with air sealing and insulation

Valid driver’s license with at least three (3) year’s clean driving record

High school diploma/GED

1-3 years of construction and/or renovation experience

Training in weatherization, energy efficiency, or building performance

Ability to effectively work with others and to be part of a team

Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work flexible schedule, including some later evenings and weekends

Clear, effective communication skills

Good communication skills and able to use handheld data devices / notebooks.

Work independently and/or as a team member

Meet physical requirements including ability to bend, stoop, reach stand for long periods

Distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Must pass national criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
