Responsibilities:
- Design Planning: Develop Execution Plans for each project, informing the PM of the schedule and relaying execution needs/strategies to Field Team and trades
- Production Management:
- Jobsite Management: Read blueprints and specification documents to ensure the project is being produced as designed. Coordinate with the PM to receive material deliveries, ensuring all materials are accounted for and intact. Create daily job logs for a summary of progress, deliveries, trade partner work, inspections, progress photos, etc. Utilize Buildertrend checklists for team and project task management. Ensure all work performed is in compliance with permitting authority requirements and local and national building codes. In coordination with PM, navigate jobsite challenges and create solutions
- Tectonic Field Team: Utilize Buildertrend checklists for team and project task management. Relay execution plan to Field Team. Supervise and support the Lead Carpenter in ensuring the Field Team team executes per the schedule and Tectonics Standard of Quality. Assist Lead Carpenter in planning ahead for tools & consumable needs, as well as plan of execution. Quality control Field Teams work. Manage challenges and continued learning.
- Trade Partners & Other: Serve as the onsite liaison for trade partners, per the project schedule, answering questions, solving problems, and ensuring the quality of work. Daily audits of the quality of trade partner work to ensure it meets Tectonics Standard of Quality. Onsite coordination of inspections.
- Tectonic Systems Improvement: Contribute improvements and create systems to enhance Tectonic project management and production processes. Evaluate Field Team production data with PM & CEO to refine project estimating.
Experience:
- 10+ years experience in residential remodeling and new home construction
- 5+ years of strong leadership experience, ideally leading a carpentry team in production
- Technologically proficient; ability to efficiently operate technology and learn new software, including but not limited to:
- Buildertrend
- Google Workspace
- Stack
- MacOS or Microsoft OS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree desired but not required. At our company, we value job skills over academic qualifications. We are more interested in your ability to perform the job professionally than in the degrees you hold.
- Excellent time and priority management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects onsite in a timely and efficient manner
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Understanding of carpentry techniques, methods of installation, and construction systems
- Advanced construction math competency
- Meticulous and methodical in approach to production
- Ability to work cross-departmentally to support the various aspects of design + planning and construction
- Ability to travel across Boulder County
Salary and Benefits
- Full time
- Competitive pay $90,000 $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience
- 4 weeks paid time off per year, with rates increasing relative to time with the company
- 11 paid Holidays per year (not included in PTO count)
