Job description
Construction Industry Technical Support
Ready to hang up your bags but not ready to leave the construction industry?
Warmboard Inc., located in Scotts Valley, is the number one radiant floor heating brand in North America. We're renowned for the quality and performance of our products. We provide a level of personalized support to architects, contractors and homeowners that harkens back to an earlier age when human beings answered phones, call clients back promptly with knowledgeable answers to their concerns and cared about the satisfaction of each client that they serve. It will be your goal to make sure every client is not only delighted with their purchase of our products but the manner with which you provide support.
Warmboard is experiencing explosive growth, largely driven by our excellent team and our many patented technologies that have placed us well ahead of our industry competitors. The person you will be replacing is retiring after 19 years which by itself is emblematic of the excellent work environment we pride ourselves on. Low turnover is but one of the many signs that this is a great place to work. Warmboarders enjoy generous compensation and a complete set of benefits, including profit sharing and contributions to your 401K plan.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in residential construction. In addition to general construction knowledge, they will have knowledge of all aspects of HVAC, but especially radiant floor heating, boilers, heat pumps, air conditioning, ERV and HRV technologies, as well as the controls that are applied to these systems.
This hire must be an excellent communicator. Technical writing skills as well as the ability to understand the technical writings of others, is a huge plus. Because many clients seek out our technical services to resolve issues that may be concerning to them, a competent, calming reassuring demeanor is essential to putting a smile on the face of everybody seeking your department's support. You will routinely work with architects, contractors and homeowners as well as in support of our sales team. This can be the dream job for someone who loves great architecture, the construction job site environment, and who wants to be in the vanguard of the development of new HVAC technologies.
Please submit your cover letter and resume for consideration. No phone calls or faxes please. To all recruitment agencies: Warmboard does not accept agency resumes.
