Contract Administrator
Location: Cloverdale, VA

Position Summary
New River Electrical is searching for an organized, detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our team. The Contract Administrator will provide contract administration support for construction related agreements, including but not limited to, document preparation, agreement monitoring and compliance with agreement closeout procedures. This position will report to the Director of Contracts Management.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintains contract files and spreadsheets including subcontractor records.
- Prepares contract documents, including nondisclosure agreements, master services agreements, work orders, purchase orders and subcontracts and ensures their proper execution.
- Reviews solicitation documents and evaluates supplier and subcontractor proposals to ensure consistency with contract language and requirements.
- Administers agreements, including negotiation and interpretation of contract language, etc. to ensure compliance with terms and conditions of executed contracts.
- Assists Director of Contracts Management in training field supervision and project managers on contract particulars and contract management.
- Reviews amendments and change orders to accommodate unanticipated situations and verify compliance with relevant contracts.
- Assists in audit strategies if contract disputes arise.
- Works with Superintendents, Foremen and Project Managers for contract implementation and compliance with contract requirements.
- Reviews certificates of insurance for contract compliance and to ensure subcontractor certificates of insurance remain current.
- Manages renewals of Master Services Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
- Communicates with field and project personnel to evaluate compliance with contracts.
- Compiles reports for management to monitor contract status, reports analysis, and overall contract performance.
- Maintains files for contract document retention in accordance with established company policies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in an administrative assistant or project support role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Experience with Agiloft CLM Software is a plus.
- Must possess superior attention to detail, with the ability to spot inconsistencies or ambiguities in contracts.
- High levels of discretion and judgment in both interpersonal and business matters.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, and external professionals.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Resourceful team-player, yet with the ability to effectively work independently.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience in the construction industry, preferred.
Travel
There may be occasional limited travel for off-site meetings, events or other business matters.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
