Scope and Purpose:

ManhattanLife is seeking to find an Annuity Contract Administrator. In this position, you will be responsible for providing existing contract holders and producers with accurate and timely information on the overall performance of their annuity portfolio. This position is in-office only at our Spokane location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process client requests for annuity surrenders, withdrawals, transfers, and set up periodic withdrawals. Every transaction must adhere to State and Federal Insurance Regulations, IRS Code and Market Conduct and Compliance.
  • Routinely verify all distributions and direct deposits on daily check report for accuracy and notify appropriate entities when market conduct issues arise.
  • Provide verbal and written communication to producers and clients.
  • Maintain daily required workflow within required timelines.
  • Illustrate annuity quotes and annuitize existing policies.
  • Update system to reflect changes to client records and process any written or verbal requests generated from the daily workflow (mail) or phone calls.
  • Research and correct 1099R records in accordance with IRS Tax Codes and understand 5498 records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external clients by positive promotion of the Company products and services. Continually encourage open communication and expand partnerships through global exposure to enhance our business growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of one year office or clerical experience.
  • Typing skill of 40-45 wpm.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy.
  • Effective verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills for handling phone inquiries and composing correspondence.
  • Effective organizational and prioritization skills for managing multiple tasks with interruptions from phone calls.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel spreadsheets, and PC applications.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, and within required deadlines.
  • Required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This position may require light travel as needed.
