Overview:
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Accounts Payable Manager, the incumbent, either personally or through subordinates, ensures that all vendor orders and invoices are processed in accordance with company policy.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
May include but are not limited to:
  • Assemble and review vendor invoices, purchase orders, receiving documents and other information for payment processing
  • Input vendor invoices into the system
  • Organize and maintain all files
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments
  • Assist the Manager with month-end responsibilities
  • Ensures accounts payable are processed timely and accurately and in accordance with company accounts payable policies.
  • Interacts with Purchasing and Warehouse Departments on a regular basis to ensure that all required documentation is forwarded to Accounts Payable as required.
  • Interacts with vendors on a regular basis, researches and resolves invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensures that the distribution of work to Accounts Payable Clerks is appropriate, and reviews and monitors productivity of other clerical staff.
  • Responsible for review of Accounts Payable Aging Reports to ensure compliance with established payment terms.
  • Responsible for assisting in the process of interfacing Accounts Payable to the General Ledger.
  • Assists with training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Adheres to all Seminole Tribe of Florida's Policies and Procedures.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.



Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED with five (5) years of accounts payable experience in a computerized Accounts Payable environment or a combination of education and/or experience preferred.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Must possess ability to direct team members.
  • Must possess ability to read and understand all Seminole Tribe of Florida’s policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, vendors and team members.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Must possess ability to handle non-standard situations where independent judgment is required and limited guidelines exist.
  • Computer systems and 10-key adding machine experience preferred.
