Summary of Position:
Reports to: Director Marketing and Sales; CEO/Principal. This position requires strategic thinking and passion about creating copy. Working with the Director of Business Development, this person develops marketing material that effectively communicates the firm’s services, core capabilities and maintains corporate branding standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Assist management in the development of communications plans for the firm.
2. Manage, coordinate and prepare the firm’s response process to RFQs/RFP/Sources Sought including editing technical portions, write and edit non-technical portions of proposals, qualification documents, resumes and project descriptions and track performance ratios
3. Manage, coordinate and prepare client interview/presentation materials: banners, boards, handouts, PowerPoint, Prezi and other media
4. Assist in conducting marketing research for pursuit win strategies: monitor and investigate client/industry trends, client gaps, identify sales message based on research and suggest PR topic to build awareness
5. Develop and maintain project experience sheets, team resumes, project photography, historical deliverables and marketing collateral for library & re-use on proposals
6. Assists with the development of marketing collateral such as brochures, newsletters, email blast, case studies and brochures
7. Monitor sectors/clients to develop potential leads and opportunities to strengthen the firm’s growth potential, report information and data collected to Director of Business Development
8. Collect and share industrial and market intelligence among members of staff and management
9. Assist in developing and maintaining written content, photography, articles, relevant industry issues for website and social media outlets
10. Assist with research and prepare
11. Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Excellent working knowledge of InDesign®; Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint®, and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills to juggle multiple activities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, including excellent listening skills
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment

- Participative management type—advocates team concept.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Tactful, mature.

Pay commensurate with experience

Pay: $21.00 - $32.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift

- Alexandria, VA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
