Smith Turf & Irrigation is looking for a dynamic Counter Sales / Customer Service Representative to join our team!

What You’ll Do

• Support the sales goals of the branch by providing exemplary customer service and product knowledge
• Assist customer’s over the phone and in person
• Processing sales transactions and ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of product
• Maintain the in-stock inventory in the showroom and ensure it is clean and shop-able
• Partner effectively with outside sales to enhance customer satisfaction
• Work with warehouse staff to expedite orders
• Follow proper procedure in handling cash tickets & balancing cash drawer
• Create/add part numbers when necessary
• Process defective items and returns. Ensure defective item returns are expedited to the supplier
• Monitor pick up tickets & cancel when necessary
• Communicate with internal business partners on inventory, shipping delays or pricing issues
• Stay up to date with product changes or enhancements

What We’re Looking For*

• 2-5 years’ of wholesale or retail experience
• Experience in the landscape, golf or irrigation industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with CRM programs
• Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
• Ability to pass pre-employment background, MVR and drug testing requirements
