Job Title:Courtesy Clerk
Reports To:Customer Service Supervisor
Supervises:None
Position Summary: Courtesy Clerks work directly with the customer to enhance their shopping experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure that each customer receives exceptional service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting every customer, handling all customer concerns with patience and professionalism, and have a solid understanding of the products that are carried.- Respond to requests for price checks with efficiency and accuracy.
- Bag customers grocery and provide carry out assistance.
- Retrieve carts from the parking lot to ensure a constant availability for our customers.
- Identify and restock items that the customers leave at cash registers.
- Clean spills, debris and empty trash to present a clean and safe environment.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in both verbal and written format.
- Ability to read, identify and accurate restock items.
- Ability to operate all equipment required to perform the essential functions of the job.
Requirements:
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and handle merchandise up to 50lbs.
- Ability to tolerate heat and cold to collect carts.
- Ability to work varied hours to include nights, Saturdays and holidays as needed.
