The IMA Group is hiring! We are recruiting for a Credentialing Specialist to join our team. This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the Eastern or Central time Zone.
This position is not considering candidates from New York City, Chicago, California, Colorado or Washington states at this time.
The Credentialing Specialist will work closely with our Credentialing Manager on credentialing new and re-credentialing existing providers and ancillary staff.
- Day to day responsibility for credentialing new providers using MD Staff system.
- Initiate credentialing and recredentialing process by sending appropriate credentialing packet to providers.
- Track completion of credentialing paperwork and follow up with candidates by phone and email on missing paperwork.
- Review paperwork received for accurate completion, preparing and emailing paperwork to approving authorities.
- Submit and track completion of background checks at appropriate time in the contracting process.
- Monitor expirations and NPDB and update provider records as necessary.
- Work with designated IMA providers during RFP (Request for Proposal) process to complete forms necessary under a strict timeline and organize individual provider packets to become part of the RFP response.
- Prepare correspondence and reports as assigned.
Requirements-
Education
Required: High School diploma
Preferred: Associate's degree
Experience
Required: 1 year of Provider Credentialing required. Microsoft Office experience including Outlook, Word, Excel; telephone systems, scanner, facsimile, internet proficiency with two years of office experience
Preferred: CPCS certification, MD Staff
