Professional/Non-Instructional - Position - Consultant
Description:
Heartland AEA has a full-time position available for a Math Consultant, Region 7. The Curriculum Consultant - Mathematics shall serve on a team working directly with local school districts and agency personnel and specifically serve the Heartland Area Education partner school districts in Region 7. The consultant will provide leadership, organization, and coordination in implementing the Iowa Core and evaluating mathematics curricula and programs. The consultant will support best practices through collaboration, demonstration, presenting, coaching and feedback to educators. Knowledge of delivery of mathematics in a multi-tiered system of support and within special education key components of the position.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be appropriately licensed/certified by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners and possess a master's degree. K-12 experience in the area of mathematics is required, as well as a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.
