John Burns Research and Consulting (JBREC) seeks a disciplined and results-focused data analyst to help expand our data research capabilities. Employee will:
- Assist the Data and Insights team in achieving project deadlines by creating data-derived deliverables
- Create new tools/approaches to handling new and legacy data processes that improve efficiency
- Build rapport with a best-in-class research team and industry-leading clients, and support an innovative culture through those relationships
- Bring a can-do attitude to a growing team tasked with hitting moving targets –assigned tasks will vary as business priorities change, meaning no two months will look the same
JBREC is a niche research consultancy focused on the US's real estate, macroeconomics, building products, and demographics markets. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrable, functional knowledge of Tableau, Excel, and at least one scripting language (R, Python…etc.). Knowledge of statistical concepts (e.g., the importance of sample vs. population, variance, R-squared) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience handling data, which can include internships.
- Ability to independently structure and run data analyses (i.e., told the what, figure out the how) and share the outcomes of those analyses with internal teams
- Adaptability to changing business needs and ad hoc tasks. Routine work will be uncommon in this role
- Desired: SQL scripting (Microsoft SQL Server)
- Bachelor’s preferred but not required
