Job Description:

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for handling all assigned bankruptcy filings from inception to discharge or dismissal, following federal, state, and district guidelines. This position is responsible for reviewing bankruptcy filing documents and following set processes for handling the bankruptcy process, including updating system information and responding to important time-sensitive filing responses. The position also requires being able to have professional discussions with the bank's counsel, bankruptcy court personnel, and other vendors as needed. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to follow precise instructions, to type and write up to professional standards, and possess first-rate customer service skills.

Other critical functions

  • Coordinate any repossession or foreclosure determinations.
  • Manage and monitor new bankruptcy filings, discharges, and dismissals, updating accounts accordingly including credit bureau updates.
  • Review, prepare, and ensure timely filing of Proof of Claims on new Bankruptcy Chap 13 filings
  • Review, prepare, and assist with preparing supporting documents for an attorney to file Motions for Relief
  • File Notification of Action and assist in managing Bankruptcy 7 and Bankruptcy 13 post-petition debt accounts for monitoring purposes
  • Handle Email/mail notifications received from US Courts and US Trustees
  • Timely review, prepare and propose reaffirmation agreements on Bankruptcy Chap 7 cases
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Able to work remote in rare or special circumstances

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure timely contact of members and attorneys regarding bankrupt account activities and proceedings.
  • To maintain accurate and complete records of all activity in the area of responsibility.
  • To provide informed, professional assistance and support to all members and associates, internal and external. To troubleshoot and resolve inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
  • Successfully pass monthly bankruptcy scorecard
  • Successfully pass monthly call evaluations

Must Have

  • Microsoft Office 2010
  • Nice To Have
  • Typing 65 wpm

This resource will be required to work on-site at the Operations center location in Akron, OH, and follow COVID protocols and safety regulations.
Hours: 8-5

Must-Have:

  • Significant experience with Microsoft Word Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Strong typing skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
