Kentuckiana Pediatric Dentistry is expanding the team and staffing for a full time experienced Dental Assistant or Expanded Duties Dental Assistant.

We are seeking a upbeat, positive, team oriented and kind individual for our Dental Assistant position. As a specialized pediatric dental practice, we take very seriously the responsibility of caring for children. By working in partnership with kids and parents, we believe every child can begin their life with a healthy smile.

The successful candidate will play a key role by providing comprehensive oral care to children on a daily basis so attendance is a top priority. Ideal candidates have experience performing dental procedures and educating youth about oral hygiene. Candidates with a flexibility to work in multiple site locations is required. (Shepherdsville/ Mt Washington, KY)

Requirements:

• Dental Assisting Certification
• Radiation Certificate
• CPR
• Coronal Polishing (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Have knowledge of dental procedures and proper patient care.
• Be empathetic toward patients, families and colleagues.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Communicate effectively with patients, and staff by listening and speaking, reading nonverbal communication and expressing yourself clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Use appropriate resources (books, journals, online information) to enhance professional growth and development.
• Coordinate with other staff to ensure practices runs smoothly.

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
