Our Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store which includes, but is not limited to, working with beer, wine, and non- alcoholic beverages, working with the Store Manager to place and receive orders, managing food service, and to ensure the expectations of the store are being met. The Department Manager is a leader and must have the ability to make informed decisions, be accountable and reliable, communicate well, and effectively work with others.
This is a hands-on position requiring regular presence in the store. This position cannot be fulfilled remotely and the employee must be able to work the hours assigned.
Responsibilities/Duties
· Involvement in daily store operations, including performing cashier duties
· Involvement in placing any necessary orders for the store and physically check product in as it is delivered from vendors against invoice. Must note any discrepancies
· Involvement in food service operations, including organization, recipe prep and, food handling.
· Assists with orientation, training, coaching, and developing staff members to understand and execute operational expectations.
· Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer complaints in a friendly and professional manner
· Assist to maintain stock levels and inventory and assist in execution of programs.
· Maintain a clean and well-stocked food center
· Sweep and mop floors to ensure a clean store appearance
· Stock shelves and coolers
· Utilize the backroom software (Learn all aspects of Envoy that relate to the retail store)
· Merchandising
· Maintain a neat and clean store appearance and ensure staff members do same
· Complete all necessary paperwork in a professional and timely manner
· Comply with all safety regulations and report any hazards, injuries, or violations immediately to management
· Attend and participate in employee meetings, trainings, and development
· Perform other related duties as assigned by Management
· Provides support to location during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.
· Responsible for the execution and organization of all paperwork relating to store operations and procedures.

· Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understand material, and provide instructions to staff members.
· Ability to use all resources necessary to perform the job (POS systems, Envoy backroom software, lottery machine)
Requirements
· Available to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Availability to work the hours necessary to open and/or close the store.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.31 - $24.17 per hour
