Diesel Mechanic First Shift - Coppell, TX
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Performing preventative maintenance and DOT Inspections
- Working with electrical systems including starting, charging, lighting, and basic truck electrical systems
- Diagnosing and repairing brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and lift gate systems
- Working on general trailer structural and suspension systems
- Perform on-demand work on tractors and straight trucks supporting delivery requirements.
- Place safety as number one priority when performing repairs and PMs
- Maintain working area clean and organized promoting good housekeeping practices.
- Perform repair calls when needed
Position Qualifications:
Prefer graduate from a two (2) year accredited diesel technical school or at least 4 years of diesel mechanic work experience. Must have own tools.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
o Able to frequently lift 50 lbs.
o Ability to work in both inside and outside conditions and be exposed to dust, fumes, and gasses from internal combustion engines.
o Exposure to adverse weather conditions
o 2 to 5 years of mechanic experience
- ASE Training
- Owning your own tools/tool chest
- Must be willing and available to work overtime as necessary.
- High school diploma or GED

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
