ABOUT THE POSITION
The eCommerce Digital Designer works closely with other teams to create and support digital and online initiatives for Columbia Sportswear Company. Initiatives include continual improvement of core functionality on site, brand campaign support, site-wide promotions, email campaigns, and dedicated interactive experiences for both desktop and mobile. The eCommerce Digital Designer will carry out projects as directed by other teams that achieve business requirements, and deliver innovative ideas with uncompromising aesthetic and attention to details. This position is expected to explain the creative thinking behind the work and how it supports business requirements and evolves the brand.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Identifies and solves design challenges to provide new approaches to working with core brand assets.
Designs eCommerce varios digital platforms. Drives site enhancement and ideas using industry best practices and emerging trends.
Communicates design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
Partners with other creative teams to ensure cohesive look and feel in all digital consumer material across enterprise.
Builds and refines vsrious digital layouts within web content management system.
Anticipates and provides solutions for design improvements and opportunities across various digital platforms.
Reviews final desk checks with an exacting eye, ensuring layout, images, and typography meet design standards.
Maintains best practices for web, digital design, and user experience design.
Performs other duties as assigned.
YOU ARE
Knowledgeable of computer design software as well as the talent and ability to perform free hand drawings and an expert in MAC OS work environment with emphasis on accuracy, speed, and productivity.
Great at having an eye for detail, including strong sense of color
An excellent communicator with skills to establish positive working relationships across various levels and fields of expertise.
YOU HAVE
2-4 years of Design experience.
Bachelor’s degree in interactive or Visual Design preferred.
Intermediate understanding of web development, content management systems including. Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and CSS.
Intermediate understanding of Adobe Creative Suite.
Intermediate ability to deliver quality design at high volume in a tight timeframe.
Strong attention to detail.
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, to all levels within the organization.
Intermediate prototyping ability.
Intermediate experience in art directing, studio and on-location photoshoots with digital needs, and best practices.
