About Us:

Embrace Life Services provides Home and Community Based Services for people with developmental disabilities who are supported through the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Our goal is to help individuals achieve the best quality of life possible through a range of in-home care services, communications, and advocacy services.

About the role:

Direct Support Professionals strive to be positive role models in order to help individuals build confidence and assist them in acquiring the skills needed to build a successful future. They must be willing to drive company vehicles on community trips if they have a valid AZ Drivers License. We are looking for caring and dynamic staff, who are eager to teach skills aimed at independence, job readiness, and community inclusion. They are able to perform direct care with clients and must appropriately implement teaching strategies for habilitation goals and behavior treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

-Assisting individuals with personal care tasks/goals; such as bathing, toileting, cooking, and other daily living activities

- Redirection and behavior management.

- Transporting clients to and from appointments and out in the community.

- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of member goal progression.

- Other reasonably related duties as assigned.

- Administer medication to members.

Requirements:

- A least 18 years of age.
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Able to obtain Arizona State level one fingerprint clearance card.
- Able to obtain certifications for CPR/First Aid, Article 9, and Prevention and Support.
- Experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities is preferred

- Eligible drivers must be able to provide a copy of their 39-month MVD report and have a valid AZ Driver License is required

THIS POSITION IS ON CALL ONLY: On-Call, Evenings, Overnight shifts and some day shifts available, however you will be offered to have 40 hours every week, but shifts are different every week. You will be notifed of available schedule for you to accept via email on every Thursday for the next second week. The agency are using SLING schedule app.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 per hour
