Position Summary:


The Director of Sales will be responsible for building business by identifying prospects, researching sales options and maintaining relationships with OEM customers by assessing market potential and identifying new business opportunities and synergies; and responsible to the assigned OEM teams to drive improvement in key OEM customer metrics by identifying issues/opportunities, initiating resolution/improvement plans and driving/tracking actions by engaging appropriate functional management and business units to ensure full support with the ability to manage multiple key OEM accounts. Core responsibility is for Stellantis N.A and EV OEM’s such as Rivian, Tesla, etc.

The Director of Sales will align the sales organization’s objectives with firm business strategy through active participation in strategic planning, sales strategy development, and forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting. The Director of Sales will also be responsible for ensuring the achievement of performance targets and strategic initiatives by setting and meeting operational goals that are consistent with the vision of the organization while ensuring effective customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A key focus for this position will be to expand Mobis’ electronic technologies (ePT, Lighting, Chassis, HUD, IVI, ADAS) into the Global OE market with heavy emphasis on Stellantis N.A.
  • Provide expertise to the company by building, developing, and managing sales teams capable of executing Company strategies and tactics, including, but not limited to the development and improvement of existing marketing strategies
  • Maintains key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the Company’s customer base by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements
  • Leverages customer insights to identify business opportunities and product strategies
  • Leads with compelling strategic vision that is in alignment with the organization’s short- and long-term goals
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends and market activities
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
  • Provides leadership to the sales organization's management team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior
  • Leads sales organization change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for organizational change, and championing change initiatives
  • Uses internal and external resources to analyze and assess market potential
Experience and Expertise:
  • Experience - Minimum of 12 years of Automotive experience (Stellantis experience required) with proven success contributing to profitability by aligning the relationship between business and corporate level sales strategy
  • Education - Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business administration, Engineering, Sales or Marketing, Master’s degree preferred
  • People Management – Has at least 5 years managing a team
  • Industry/Sector - Previous experience as a Global Tier 1 Sales Executive (Senior Manager or higher)
  • Commercial Relationships - Experience working with OEM Purchasing Directors and above. Stellantis business relationships are key
  • Customer Champion/Key Account Management - Experience working with one or more major OEMs to ensure all requirements are fully met and translated to Mobis design and operations processes
