Catering Sales & Event Director
Flores Food Group, Wappingers Falls NY
Our Catering Sales and Event Director will respond to and follow up on all event inquires, work closely with clients to book events, schedule staff and work with event staff during event execution, and coordinate with the chef and clients on menu preparation for both small and large events of all service styles.
What you’ll do:
- Respond to, track, and follow up on inquiries using HUB SPOT CRM.
- Engage with potential and existing clients through phone and email correspondence, and ensure all necessary information is obtained.
- Create proposal and estimates using Total Party Planner software. Out the needs for each event, including menus, labor, rentals coordination, service timelines, and event instructions.
- Follow through with correspondence to secure event sale.
- Enter secured events on Main Outlook calendar, update as needed.
- Assist in creating formal invoices & securing deposits.
- Arrange for and attend site visits, walk-throughs and tastings as needed, and capture detailed notes.
- Attend weekly BEO meetings to facilitate internal communications relating to the production of events.
- Meet with vendors & venues to facilitate event success.
- Plan the logistics for each event and schedule event activities and food service times.
- Assist with Tracking deposits & payments.
- Create rental equipment orders and coordinate billing with rental companies and clients.
- Create BEO’s and enter onto event calendar.
- Evaluate success and post event follow up for customer satisfaction.
- Manage relationships with repeat customers.
What we need from you:
- 3+ years of hospitality, catering, events experience
- Sales experience is a PLUS!
- Strong computer skills/Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work.
- Problem-solving skills with initiative and follow through
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work in a fast past environment
- Total Party Planner & HUB SPOT CRM applications knowledge a plus – however will be trained

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
