Our Client is looking to hire a Director of Nursing to help provide a student-centered environment consistent with its core values preparing graduates to apply their knowledge, and abilities to succeed in a work environment in their field of study.
At our client, students receive education and certification for:
- Emergency Medical Services
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Medical Assisting
- Nursing
- Paramedic
- Substance Abuse Counseling
- Veterinary Assisting
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicate with Campus Director and the Dean of Academic Affairs concerning operational, Regulatory and accreditation issues as appropriate.
- Monitor the implementation of the systematic plan of evaluation.
- Prepare, submit, and manage program budget.
- Assist in the resolution of student and faculty issues.
- Represent the program to the local advisory committee and the state board of nursing.
- Assist faculty as needed in the preparation of lesson plans, learning activities and evaluation of the learner’s knowledge.
- Prepare program reports for the state board of nursing, regulatory and accreditation bodies.
- Conduct faculty meetings, assign faculty to committees, and serve as an unofficial member of program faculty committees.
- Assist in preparation of accreditation materials for school.
EDUCATION:
- A minimum of an earned graduate degree with a major in nursing from a nurse accredited education program
PREFERRED:
- Doctorate
- ACEN experience
- Previous institutional educational experience
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current, active, unencumbered RN or ARPN license or multistate privilege to practice nursing.
- 2 years’ clinical experience
- A minimum of 1 year experience in administration or management
- A minimum of two years’ experience teaching in pre or post licensure nursing programs
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and analytical skills
- Excellent teaching skill and ability to efficiently manage students’ clinical and skills lab activities
- Competent in personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email
- Ability to manage people and projects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
