What We Need From You

Barnes Healthcare Services is seeking a Director of People Experience that supports the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization by leading the People Experience (PE) department, impacting all phases of the talent lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, talent management, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, total rewards, and risk mitigation.


Essential Functions

  • Models and holds others accountable to the Barnes culture and acts as a coach and mentor for others in the organization.
  • Provides overall leadership and guidance to the PE function and establishes and implements PE efforts that effectively communicate and support the company's mission, vision, and purpose.
  • Conveys clear performance expectations, follows up consistently, and enforces individual accountability for the team.
  • Develops human capital plans and strategies that align with the Barnes culture and strategy and create a compelling employee value proposition (EVP).
  • Functions as a trusted business advisor/consultant for all leaders regarding key organizational, talent, and management issues.
  • Identifies key performance indicators for the organization's PE and talent management functions, assesses the organization's success and market competitiveness based on these metrics and makes appropriate adjustments to maximize value for all stakeholders.
  • Establishes organizational PE policies and sets standards regarding all aspects of human capital management and risk mitigation.


Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • A BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years of broad human resources leadership experience, with at least five years focused in talent management/leadership & organizational development.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
