Business Unit Support Crewmembers are aligned to a specific Business Unit defined as either a Region, Market or Area. The Business Unit Teams are comprised of Support Crewmembers who are functional experts in various disciplines. The various Support Departments or Functions are led by best-in-class experts. The RSO Support Department/Functional leader is responsible for the hiring, training, personnel management, development and functional routines for the Business Unit Crewmembers.
This role will partner directly with the Divisional Vice President of Company Restaurants and key stakeholders to assess Restaurant staffing needs, lead the near-term and long-term Restaurant staffing strategy, deploy new systems, programs, and processes to ensure that all Restaurants in the division are fully staffed. This person will be responsible for hiring, training, developing, and leading a large, field-based team of recruiting leaders. They will help to drive recruiting practices that align with the brand identity, and with Raising Cane’s mission, values, core values and non-negotiables. The Divisional Leader of Recruiting is responsible for the development of successful strategies and plans to help achieve company goals and objectives with a focus on Restaurant Management and Crew hiring.
Restaurant Recruitment Team Leadership
- Leads a team of field-based Regional Leaders of Recruiting in providing strategic direction for the development and execution of plans for regional staffing efforts
- Responsible for teaching, training, and assisting Regional Leaders of Recruiting in developing annual recruiting plans for each Business Unit (Restaurant, Area, Market, Region), which will be reviewed on a quarterly basis to measure progress and amend as needed
- Leads the recruitment team involvement with the Business Unit Team including regular communications to ensure that the Restaurant recruiting team is aligned with all other support disciplines
- Responsible for hiring, training, and developing all Business Unit Team recruiting positions in the division
- Cultivates strong relationships with Divisional, Regional and Area business unit teams, soliciting regular feedback on recruitment support efforts
- Works closely with Restaurant Operations Leadership to provide feedback and help develop effective tools and resources for Restaurant recruiting efforts
- Serves as the communication lead for divisional updates to the recruiting process or new rollouts for Crewmember staffing
Restaurant Recruitment Strategy & Planning
- Develops partnerships that will result in talent pipelines for Restaurant Crew and management positions
- Works closely with Restaurant growth and development leaders to ensure recruitment team alignment with long term Restaurant growth plans
- Builds Raising Cane’s employment brand by increasing our presence in our communities and establishing relationships with universities, networking organizations, community-based organizations, workforce centers and vendors to provide a pipeline of qualified and talented candidates
- Manages agency and third-party recruiting relationships for all Restaurant leadership positions
- Develops the annual Restaurant recruiting budget projections, monitors expenditures and approves any major expenses specific to Restaurant Crew and Restaurant management recruiting efforts
- Provides Regional and Divisional recruitment reporting to internal stakeholders; developing and managing recruiter dashboards to ensure the restaurant recruiting team is meeting or exceeding performance standards
- Establishes and maintains talent market expertise including comprehensive view of industry trends and competitor best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of recruiting or related experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience leading a field-based team preferred
- Experience working for a multi-unit Retail/Restaurant/Hospitality company preferred
- Experience working in a restaurant preferred
- Strong proficiency in organizational management and leadership with the ability to coach and develop
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, lead a high performing team & prioritize workload
- Strong work ethic with an ability to be both strategic and tactical
- High level of attention to detail, analytical and decisive
- Exceptional people and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record of aggressive goal setting, converting plans into action and performance measurement
- Will be based out of our Restaurant Support Office in Las Vegas, NV
- Must be willing to travel as required
