Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
Over the course of 3+ years, the Speedway Rollout Implementation Owner is accountable for the planning, execution, and quality post-conversion support required to successfully transition 3100 +/- Speedway stores to 7-Eleven standard systems and processes. At an estimated conversion rate of approximately 5 stores per day, this leader is responsible for holistically coordinating all store conversion activities that are not directly based in the field (ex. coaches, store leaders). While this individual has 3-5 direct FTE reports, they are personally responsible for shaping the direction of a large cross-functional organization of contract and other supporting team members spanning 70+ people.

Success will be measured based on:
  • Conversion pace / adherence to schedule
  • Average conversion time
  • Continuous improvement (trend of conversion defect reduction)
- Budget performance - OSG&A and Operational cost per conversion
  • Completion of overall implementation within the committed timeline

** This is a project-based role. Because projects have a start and end, this position is only available for the duration of the effort. After the assignment you will be able to go back to your role or a similar role within the company. Any bonus' you may qualify for are guaranteed for the duration of the project. **

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Schedule. Maintains, adjusts, and communicates the the implementation schedule for 3100 +/- stores
  • Schedule Analysis. Highlights gaps and promotes solutions for complex store conversions, ex. CFL, restaurants, ACH payment, outdated fuel dispensers, etc.…
  • Site Readiness. Provides assurance that all associated T-minus activities are delivered by the responsible organizations, so the store is ready for conversion.

  • Store Conversion. Ensures that day-of (hour by hour) conversion activities are executed by Contact Center, maintenance, 3rd Party, and associated operational support resources.
  • Post Conversion Stabilization. Oversees verification of post conversion activities to ensure sites are stabilized and operate as expected post conversion (i.e. prevents "launch and leave" from occurring)
  • Implementation Team Support. Owns ensuring command center processes, systems, and resources are defined and fully staffed to address the needs of the implementation team.
  • Store Support. Indirect oversight of "Hypercare" performance as a key element of the implementation, which is directly managed by Contact Center
  • Resource Management & Optimization. Budget ownership and allocation authority for 50 +/- contract resources that are assigned to supporting functional teams. Includes planning to ramp-down resources as needed.
  • Measurement & Reporting. Works in coordination with analyst team to produce performance reports for the overall implementation program.
  • Continuous Improvement. Takes a data-based approach to optimize the entire implementation process with a focus on reducing defects, costs, and conversion time.
  • Risk & Issue Management. Identifies and promotes solutions to barriers that might impair the implementation plan.

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 12+ years
YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 12+ years
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES:
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Strong servant leader with demonstrated ability to shape organizational direction without direct reporting relationships.
  • Operates autonomously without regular leadership direction.
  • Experience leading mixed FTE, contract, and cross functional efforts exceeding 50+ resources.
  • Track record of large-scale program/project design, development, and execution.
  • Has broad experience managing the variable aspects of project management and the rigorous demands of maintaining operational processes.
  • Can synthesize complex multi-variant problems and organize the right resources to solve them.
  • Ability to define and continuously improve processes (ex. 6-sigma or other related approaches)
  • Reporting, analytics, balanced score caring.
  • Management of project, OSG&A, and operational budgets.
  • Experience working across project, retail, technology, and support operations.
  • Capable of working across all levels within the organization, from sales associate to c-suite.
