The Inventory Control Specialist will assist in facilitating distribution of inventory throughout store by assessing inventory reports, par levels and distribution data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor at all times
  • Adheres to company mission statement and core values and maintains high ethical standards and professionalism in all business interactions
  • Receives deliveries of regulated product and verifies accuracy against track and trace system generated manifest
  • Ensures products are packaged and labeled according to regulatory standards
  • Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify personnel when material has expired
  • Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights
  • Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory audit
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of all confidential information, including inventory totals and other client data
  • Works independently to perform inventory control duties with minimal oversight
  • Understands the complexity of compliance requirements governing our businesses, including the following types of regulatory agencies: Bureau of Cannabis Control, California Department of Food and Agriculture, California Department of Public Health, etc
  • Responsible for reading and understanding regulatory requirements and company policy
  • Performs research and coordinates with retail managers to gather information about sales trends and customer needs
  • Responsible for reading and understanding all department-specific Standard Operating Procedures and documentation
  • Completes a variety of reports to initiate next steps for Management staff and Executive Officers
  • All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in any field preferred;

Required Skills & Experience

  • Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
  • High-level attention to detail, administrative skills, and highly organized
  • Experience using web browser applications and familiarity with current versions
  • Knowledge of California marijuana laws
  • Experience with Metrc Track & Trace system
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Previous logistics, warehouse and/or inventory management experience
  • Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CA licensed facilities

  • Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time
