Job description
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized entry onto premises and into facility
- Develop and maintain professional relations with AutoZoners and visitors and ensures appropriate courtesy to everyone
- Ensure optimal levels of communication with AutoZoners and visitors and properly document required information
- Interacts with over-the-road drivers and AutoZone drivers
- Answers phones and directs incoming calls
- Utilizes current warehouse systems to check in and stage incoming freight
- Documents visitors to facility and issues parking permits to visitors and temporary employees
- Ensures compliance with security and safety procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITILTIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- Willing to work any days/nights and hours as needed to include weekends and holidays, and unforeseen extended shifts
- Ability to perform successfully in an unsupervised environment
- Good telephone, verbal and written communication and comprehension skills
- Good people skills
- Dependable and prompt
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. while pushing, pulling, lifting, bending and stooping and using lifting techniques and move loads
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work required overtime
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus
- Ability to work in a Safety Sensitive environment while in the DC (operation of PIE / heavy PIE traffic throughout the distribution center); moving conveyors, heights; maintain awareness of surroundings at all times and quick reaction time to hazardous conditions are necessary
- Typical physical demands are required to perform the work, such as some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items
