Role Overview
Operating as part of the project Document Management team, the Document Management Technician will report to the Document Management Supervisor and be responsible for maintaining and supporting document management work processes.
Document handling will primarily be electronic in a collaborative Content Management System (ECMS), Aconex, to register, control, distribute, transmit, file and archive project records.
Paper handling will be kept to a minimum. However, there will be some printing and scanning duties on an as required basis.
Ensures project schedules are met with regards to processing documents. Assists in generating status reports, maintaining tracking logs and providing performance metrics for the management team.
Supports all project functions in daily execution of project activities.

Basic Qualifications

- Demonstrates strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and to accuracy. - Essential
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Experience of reporting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills - there will be a need to keep regular contact with project personnel
- Must possess and demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high energy, team environment.
- Experience of entering documents into ECMS systems to include full version control and population of properties - Aconex - Preferred.
- Experience of using the ECMS query system to support Client / project users in the use of the ECMS. - User support only – technical support provided on project.
- Operating scanners with sufficient understanding such that a quality scan is obtained while minimizing file size. - Essential
- Experience of Redline Mark-up processes – Desirable but not essential.
- Working to deadlines and managing time and workload. We anticipate the flow of documents to fluctuate.
- Able to work overtime when required.
- Willingness to get involved with overall project document management activities where required.
- Able to handle multiple tasks.
Additional Qualifications
Must have eight to ten years of working experience in Document Management field.
Experience in EPC industry is desirable.
Proven capability of processing a high volume of supplier and/or project documentation.
Develop and support the implementation of the records retention and turnover plans.
Work in team environment and provide training on Work process and tools.
