A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DOGGY DAYCARE MANAGER

As our Doggy Daycare Manager, you are the captain of our ship! Charting your course according to our company policies and local regulations, you lead our crew toward the primary destination of exceptional customer service to both our four-legged guests and their human families. When parents and their pets come through our doors, you warmly welcome them aboard. You attend community events to help promote our brand and use your good interpersonal skills to develop meaningful relationships with our customers. Coordinating with graphic designers, you select material for advertising.

Your excellent leadership skills come into play as you recruit, hire, train, mentor, and motivate your crew, creating and maintaining a cohesive work culture where everyone feels valued. Periodically, you set goals for your staff to achieve together. You understand the importance of delegating and do so effectively, but you never hesitate to jump in when needed. Through prompt maintenance, tight inventory control, and strict adherence to safety and sanitation requirements, you keep our facility in tip-top shape.

Attentive to detail, you keep accurate and up-to-date financial records and performance metrics. You help keep us afloat financially. Never one to wait until you are in the midst of a storm to act, you ensure the best possible outcome by always looking ahead!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DOGGY DAYCARE MANAGER

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Management experience in the pet care or human hospitality industries
• Knowledge about industry regulations and best practices
• Ability to communicate with others effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Love for all dogs

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A DOGGY DAYCARE MANAGER

This is a full-time pet care management position requiring 40 - 45 hours per week across 5 days. We are open 7 days a week and board dogs 365 days a year, so weekends and holidays are part of the job.
