The Kind of Work You’ll be Doing:
- Serve as a member of the U.S. Capacity Leadership team and help develop and implement U.S. Capacity policies and culture.
- Facilitate regular leadership meetings and consistently conduct one-on-ones with direct reports.
- Build strong teams by providing strategic direction, delegation, coaching, counsel, and expertise to individual team leaders and the DSG leadership team as a whole.
- Provide and promote training opportunities for team leaders. Implement a succession planning program to ensure the development and expansion of leadership talent.
- Establish clear expectations, objectives, and measures for the department including developing a staffing plan to attain group goals. Analyze plans and make adjustments as necessary.
- Promote a continual focus on customer service excellence, procedural analysis, and process improvement. Employ change management techniques as needed.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments/teams on ministry-wide matters or those of mutual concern as needed.
- Develop and monitor fiscal year budgets and provide direction for individual team budgets. Adhere to related policies and procedures and ensure that costs align with program requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate contracts, contractors, suppliers, and software in collaboration with other Directors to choose the most effective and economically feasible use of resources for the ministry.
- Ensure that Cru’s donation and mailing processes as well as the technology used to support them are up-to-date and improvements are made on a continual basis.
- Develop and maintain updated plans for disaster and business recovery to ensure the continuation of donation processing and daily bank deposits.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, project management or related field and a minimum of 7-10 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
