JOB DESCRIPTION: Donor Relations Associate
Reports to: Director of Community Engagement
Status: Part-time, 20hrs/week; Non-exempt
Position Summary:
The role requires the person to perform as a key member of the development staff and development related committees with duties essential to helping the organization fulfill its $3M annual budget. The
Donor Relations Associate will focus their fundraising efforts in southern Chester County. The
Donor Relations Associate will serve with the Development Team, consisting of the Director of
Community Engagement, Community Engagement Coordinators, CEO, Grant Writers, Marketing &
Communications Manager, and Development Administrative Assistant. The Donor Relations Associate will focus almost exclusively on generating contributions via individual, business and church contacts for Good Sam.
Key Accountabilities:
Fundraising & Donor Relations
- Cultivates relationships with current Good Sam donors (individuals, businesses, churches) and to increase future donations
- Communicate Good Sam’s impact to donors
- Increases name recognition and awareness for Good Sam in southern Chester County
- Identifies new donors for Good Sam
- Identifies corporate sponsors for events
- Occasionally representing Good Sam at church speaking engagements
Networking
- Represents Good Sam at Chamber, Rotary and other meetings/events within southern
Chester County
- Provides presentations at events and other networking opportunities
General Support to the Director of Community Engagement
- Duties assigned by the Director of Community Engagement
Requirements:
- Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and access to an automobile
- Candidate must be passionate about the mission of Good Sam
- Experience with developing and maintaining productive working relationships with board members, donors, and stakeholders
- 3+ years experience being responsible for raising funds and a proven track record of success
- Experience working independently and proactively to achieve established goals
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Pivot with grace
- Desire and ambition to help Good Sam reach and exceed budget goals through strategizing and executing a plan
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to make positive connections with people
- Superb verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends
$20.00 per hour/part time
