Driver - Apex, NC

Summary

Perform all tasks associated with the proper operation of the shipping/receiving areas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Move tractor trailers around/to and from docks on premises
  • Maintain appropriate fuel levels (driving cab only)
  • Fill orders using packing lists as a guide to pick various items
  • Print packing lists and place packing lists on boxes
  • Use an RF scanner to pick items within the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Use the WMS to group orders that will ship using the same carrier
  • Use forklift or pallet jack to move pallets to designated areas
  • Operate a forklift to retrieve various items
  • Stage packed items on skids
  • Continuously lift and move up to 50-lb containers from pick slots to forklifts
  • Determine the proper box size for orders and pack properly to ensure quality
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Follow safety regulations
  • Perform other related duties, as required or directed


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Ability to consistently lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to consistently move in a full-range of motion
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating a standup forklift and/or pallet jack
  • Previous distribution or warehouse experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Current – CDL Class A
