JOB OPENING: Driver & Warehouse Aggregator for Local Farms

About Pacific Coast Harvest & Farmstand Local Foods ----------------------------------------------

We drive, aggregate, pack bags, maintain inventory, and sell food items to support local farmers. Our wholesale brand is "Farmstand Local Foods" and our home delivery brand is "Pacific Coast Harvest." Summary ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This job splits its time between driving and the warehouse.

Drivers use company vans and trucks to pick up, sort, and deliver fruits, veggies, and other local food items. Routes start and end at our South Seattle warehouse and go throughout the Greater Seattle-Bellevue- Tacoma area. Deliveries to customers are done throughout the week to both wholesale locations and direct-to-consumer homes. Routes last between 4 to 8 hours.

Warehouse aggregators pack grocery orders, portion items from big cases to retail sizing, sort wholesale orders, take inventory, and help keep the warehouse clean. Packing grocery orders can mean working in a walk-in fridge for several hours and boxes can weigh 50 lbs+. Attention to details and following systems are keys to success in this role.

Pay & Benefits --------------------------------------

• $21-$23/hr DOE
• Tips (~$1.25/hr) based on hours worked
• +$0.50/hr potential at ~60 day review
• +$1.00/hr potential at ~6 month review

• Part-time available for the right candidate, with bolded shifts required

Qualifications Required --------------------------------------

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to drive a 15-passenger van in all weather conditions (e.g. rain, snow, sleet)
• Willingness to learn to drive longer vehicles (i.e. 20'-25' vans and box trucks)
• Cell phone with data plan and understanding of Google Maps
• Read, write, and speak English
• Ability to work standing for 6+ hours
• Ability to drive routes for up to 8 hours
• Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds

Preferred

• 1-2 years of food delivery experience to homes/restaurants
• Familiarity driving a 16ft box truck
• Excellent attention to detail (mention “carrots” when asked if anything stands out)
• Ability to quickly problem solve and keep a positive attitude when circumstances change
• Excited to be part of a team
• Familiarity with a warehouse environment
• Familiarity with local food and produce varieties
• Energetic and excited about our mission

Job Offer contingent on successful completion of driving record check

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
