Job description
The Fine Dining Waiter/Waitress or Fine Dining Host (Primary position) is responsible for providing professional, friendly, courteous service to every guest while taking reservations, greeting, seating, and handling guest inquiries. Position requires ability to interact with the public, speak English clearly, retain details, and physical exertion in the form of walking, standing, turning, bending, lifting, and carrying, is called upon to fill the Fine Dining Shift Manager (Secondary position) when needed. This position requires ability to interact with the public, speak English clearly, and retain details, physical exertion in the form of walking, standing, and turning, bending, and lifting while carrying a large tray. The Fine Dining Shift Manager administers, directs and controls the effective and efficient operation of the Fine Dining Restaurant on a shift to shift basis. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Education/Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Two-year Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college preferred.
- Customer service and at least three (3) years of fine dining server experience preferred.
- Proficient in large tray service.
- Minimum two (2) years food and beverage supervisory experience.
- Must have general knowledge of all phases of full service dining.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, coaching, team building and problem solving skills required
- Must be computer literate, including a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications as well as restaurant automated systems.
Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

- Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the dining room for a lengthy period of time.
- Must be able to carry trays which may weigh up to twenty (20) pounds.
- Must be able to assist with special needs of customers. (i.e.: helping the elderly from their chair, assisting with coats, pulling out chairs for the guests, etc.
- Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and effectively deal with guests, management, employees, and members of the business community if all situations.
