As part of the Advanced Technology and Innovation (AT&I) Organization, we are looking for control and software engineer for Innovation activities regarding electrification and automation for CNH Industrial Agricultural and Construction Equipment product portfolio. This position works closely with the Integration teams, Electrical, Software, Simulation, Test Lab, and Vehicle groups to design and develop advanced control systems matching or exceeding customer expectations, while considering the intrinsic embedded nature of the final solution.
Willing to travel to gain product and functional experience and assist in the evaluation of the prototypes in the field following defined test procedures and, if required, identify and implement corrective actions to achieve the results.
Communicate with the engineering team to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion following established design process. The successful candidate in this position is accountable to develop, maintain, and release necessary system specifications and project documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:
Develop electrical drivetrain system controls for new hybrid and full electric vehicles within the Innovation projects perimeter
Develop and integrate control strategies and SW for automation activities on tractors and tractor-implement combination
Responsible for identifying the most efficient controls strategy to manage multiple energy flows entering the electrified drivetrain and to introduce new automation on AG and CE equipments
Owns, manages and releases electronic system control logics and sofwtare
Delivers work in an efficient and timely manner in completion of specific project milestones
Interfaces with software engineering and other departments to facilitate the development process of electrified drivetrain
Provides team progress updates to direct manager as needed.
Ensures the use of engineering standards, methodologies, and global product development processes in engineering team’s daily work
Interfaces with Electrification Technology engineering team for HV/LV system performance & integration
Fosters an environment that welcomes and encourages new and innovative design concepts, inventions, patents, and product opportunities for improvement
Embraces Innovation mindset, encourages new technology and is creative

Other Responsibilities:
Share ideas for continuous improvements on the Ag and CE products and on best practices for the team (tool, electronic design and control approach, sensor selection, document format)
Competency and desire to become and stay expert in his/her domain of technology

The annual salary for this role is $91,300 - $132,000 and is eligible for the company bonus plan. (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or another relevant discipline.
2 plus years of experience in linear controls (classical and state space) and software/system engineering.
1 plus years of experience in non-linear controls and software(e.g. Back stepping, Sliding mode)
Ability to travel up to 15% of time

Preferred Qualifications :
Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar.
Experience on off-road equipments SW development and Electronic Control Unit SW integration
Experience in real-time rapid control prototyping (dSpace, NI etc.)
Experience with online vehicle calibration (Control Desk, INCA, Vector tools etc.)
Experience with the following development tools: Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, Control Desk, Vector Canalyzer/Canoe (J1939)
Experience in developing Adaptive controls
Knowledge in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools
Experience leading and working in multi-location teams
Agricultural or Construction Equipment background or relevant experience in off road machinery engineering.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
An extensive amount of independent thinking is required.
Able to work under minimal supervision
Leadership and communication skills.
