Electrical Engineer
Job description
Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a full time Electrical Engineer to support research & development, operations, and testing of large Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV). This project team develops and operates cutting-edge robotic ships for the US Navy in San Diego, CA.
LOCATION: San Diego, CA
JOB STATUS: Full Time
TRAVEL: Some travel may be required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
- 3 years experience as a working Electrical Engineer
- Ability to troubleshoot shipboard electrical issues in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to perform duties on vessels at-sea
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Experience with shipboard electrical systems a big plus
- Experience with US Navy ship systems a plus
- Will consider candidates with significant experience in lieu of B.S. degree
RESPONSIBILITIES: Functionally, the successful candidate will:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair shipboard electrical systems on Autonomous unmanned vessels.
- Troubleshoot and repair problems on vessels.
- Assist with at-sea testing on military vessels.
SALARY RANGE: Estimated $85,000 USD - $110,000 USD annually
