Position Summary and Responsibilities
Teledyne Marine Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing development team. This position will involve engineering support for existing products, customizing equipment for new applications, and new product development. The desired applicant will possess a strong background in electrical design as well as a working knowledge of software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electronic circuitry
- Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
- May review vendor capability to support product development
- Establish operating criteria, conducts experimental tests and evaluate results
- Initiate failure mode investigations and develop corrective actions
- Create documentation packages for production and customers
- Work with production to transition designs to manufacturing
- Interact with managers, peer engineers, and program personnel
- Possess a strong desire for hands-on work with hardware in the lab and in the field
- U.S. citizenship is required
Qualifications
Education and Experience
:
- BS Electrical Engineering degree from four-year college or university, 8-12 years’ related experience, MS degree preferred
- Extensive experience in Electronic Design with EMI mitigation
- Experience in schematic capture and layout, Altium preferred
- Experience with electrical test equipment include oscilloscopes and DVMs
- Experience with underwater technology preferred
- Experience with robotics preferred
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skills in motors and motor controllers
- Skills in switching power supplies, impedance matching networks, audio amplifiers, and microcontrollers
- Skills in embedded programming
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

USD $158,355.00/Yr.
