Job Summary and General Purpose of Position:

Conversion technicians inspect, calibrate, and install electronic vehicle components of various types in a research and development environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Inspect and calibrate electronic parts and component systems
  • Able to read blue prints and schematics.
  • Install components with little direction
  • Be up to date on all policies and procedures.
  • Keep work area safe and clean.
  • Be able to communicate findings to co-workers and superiors.
  • Ensure all work is completed by deadline.

Job Requirements:

Skills/Experience-

  • 1 plus years experience or training working with electronic components
  • Must have attention to detail and be able to work from written instructions with limited direction
  • Diagnostic equipment and blue prints/schematics.
  • Ability to use a computer is a must.
  • Experience using Mac, iOS, and Linux operating systems is a plus.
  • Flexibility of working in a dynamic environment
  • Comfortable using hand tools and battery operated power tools

Education- Bachelors degree or technical training preferred,but may consider prior work experience in related field. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required at minimum.

Physical Requirements- Must be able to stand for as many as 6 hours per day. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Job requires sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 6-8 hours on a daily basis. Must be flexible and able to perform numerous tasks as requested. Must be flexible to work overtime and hours above and beyond normal scheduled hours as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour
