Job description
Montessori Lead Primary Teacher Sherwood Montessori Academy is seeking for motivational Lead Primary Teacher who provides creative learning environment based on Montessori Philosophy and procedure that helps young children develop physically, emotionally, socially, cognitively, and creatively. Essential Job responsibilities
- Develops lesson plans and manages the learning experiences for students to ensure the needs of the groups and individual students are met.
- Assists students toward self-directed learning and normalization.
- Maintains a neat, well organized, and attractive prepared environment consistent with Montessori pedagogy.
- Participates in professional activities, which may include workshops or training
- Works to develop close and effective relationships with parents, including opportunities to discuss and understand the child’s individual progress; provides individualized tracking of student progress.
- Follows the school’s policies and procedures for student evaluation and record keeping, meeting all due dates as required.
- Assesses the needs of the class and requests for materials.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Minimum qualification * Must have High school diploma with AMS, AMI , MACTE , NAMC or any other Montessori Certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Montessori setting.
- CPR and first aid certification
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Must have a passion for children
- Must have the ability and patience to work interactively with children
- Must have basic knowledge DFPS guidelines
- Must have strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of students, and their parents
- Must have the ability to transition with changes
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
