Deceuninck North America is seeking an Engineering Co-op (Summer) for its Monroe, OH facility. In this role, the Engineering Co-op (Summer) will participate in projects to evaluate and improve Deceuninck’s processes through application of continuous improvement methods, such as Kaizen techniques, 5S, process/value stream mapping, digital technology, data analysis, standard work studies, setup reductions, and Lean/Six Sigma tools. Follows the structure of the Deceuninck Project Management, Safety, Continuous Improvement and Quality Systems throughout project execution. Core Responsibilities:
- Applies continuous improvement methods to manufacturing and other related processes to reduce equipment downtime, increase production throughput, improve reporting and scheduling, etc.
- Participates on project teams to understand needs, evaluate current state, identify improvements, present solutions to stakeholders, and implement solutions according to a project schedule.
- Collaborates with Deceuninck employees in various departments, requiring strong relationship-building skills with all levels of employees.
- Uses Microsoft analytical and presentation software to prepare and present information to project teams and/or stakeholders
Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical) at an accredited four-year college or university.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using Microsoft Visio a plus.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Continuous Improvement mindset, with strong attention to detail and experience in data analysis.
