The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as a full-time Program Coordinator for the Licensed Childcare Afterschool programs in Round Rock, TX.

Program Coordinator responsibilities include assisting with licensing, accreditation, staff training/hiring, curriculum implementation, and marketing of school age and summer day camp enrichment programs.

This position will give leadership to the growth of current enrichment programs and expansion to new enrichment sites. The Program Coordinator will assist the Program Director with planning, developing, implementing and supervising multiple enrichment programs, the staffing of these programs, the enrollment and revenue goals for the programs and the management of the budget and registration process. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Texas licensing requirements, hiring and supervising all staff for this area, managing a budget, using Xcel, Google Docs and the current YMCA registration program. The Program Coordinator will effectively communicate with school personnel and enrichment providers.

Success of this position requires the ability to lead staff and volunteers in areas of program development. This position requires a thorough understanding of Texas Department of Family & Protective Services (TDFPS) state standards. Incumbent must have the ability and skills needed to administer the operation policies and procedures of the state and the YMCA. The incumbent must have skills in planning, organizing, training, relationship building, and problem solving and managing multiple priorities.

Skills/ Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ experience in a managerial/supervisory role in a childcare program; preferably an Afterschool program
• A bachelor’s degree in business or education preferred
• Strong human relation skills and written/verbal communication skills are required
• This position requires the ability to plan, develop, organize, manage and administer tasks
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Candidates must meet Child Care Director Standards set by both YMCA Licensed Child Care and the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services. Must be able to acquire Director Certification through TDFPS within the first month of employment.

Must be able to pass reference checks, criminal history check, sex offender registry, and FBI fingerprint background check.

Pay Rate: $41,000 to $43,000/year
